What to expect
After a 10 minute boat ride from Sai Kung Town Centre, receive a safety briefing and put up the equipment. Travelers would snorkel in the shallow, beginner-friendly waters and marvel at the vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life.
Sharp Island is home to over 46 hard coral species and 169 fish species, including endangered threadfin porgy and spotted seahorse. Look out for valuable coral like platgyra sp. and pavona sp.

Besides, relaxing on the beach after snorkeling, make sure to check out this amazing UNESCO Global Geopark Site, as you will find “Pineapple Bun Rock”, volcanic rock, such as rhyolite and volcanic breccia here. There’s also a tombolo which is affected by tides, called “The Angel Road”.
