Journey through the Palestinian Territories and the Gush Etzion Settlement Block.  Explore the complexities of Bethlehem and Hebron. Have lunch with a Palestinian family in Hebron, and have the option to spend the night with a middle class Palestinian family in Bethlehem. The tour combines the historical and religious highlights of the area, and explores the history and politics of Israel’s Occupation of the West Bank.  You’ll visit Abraham’s Tomb, the Church of Nativity, Israel’s ‘Separation Barrier’, a refugee Camp, view the ‘settlements’, and walk the ghetto neighbourhoods of Hebron.

    You'll travel from Tel Aviv through Jerusalem then through the Gush Etzion settlement bloc, the guide will explain the history and current status of these Israeli communities and their impact on surrounding Palestinian villages.

    Visit Abraham’s Tomb (Me'arat Hamachpela / Al-haram Al-Ibrahimi), and have the opportunity to enter both the Mosque on the Muslim side, and the synagogue on the Jewish side. Make sure you have your passport.

    Enjoy a traditional Palestinian Lunch at a local restaurant. Next, the guide will then take you for an up-close walk along the Separation Barrier that surrounds the city. Learn about the impact of the Wall on local Palestinians and how it has been used for art/graffiti by various artists, including Banksy. Visit the Walled Off Hotel, developed to attract tourists to this once abandoned area in Bethlehem - and to provide the history of the occupation through art at the museum inside, as well as to help local artists display their works in the Gallery.

  • Dress Code: Hebron and Bethlehem are religious cities with socially conservative residents, and we ask you to respect this by dressing appropriately. The rule of thumb is that the only skin that should be showing is the face, lower arms, and hands. Basically no shorts for men or women - trousers (pants) are best for men and women - shirts closed to the neck and over the shoulders. If the weather is hot wear light loose clothing.
