What to expect
Introduction to the argan tree and its benefits:
Discover the history and benefits of the argan tree, a tree endemic to Morocco. Learn why argan oil is so precious and how it is used for cosmetic, food, and medicinal purposes.
Harvesting and preparing argan nuts:
You will participate in the harvest of argan nuts (depending on the season) and discover how Berber women open them by hand to extract the precious almonds. This traditional step is a meticulous know-how, passed down from mother to daughter.
Cold pressing technique:
Follow step by step the traditional cold pressing method, used to extract pure oil from argan almonds. You will be able to try this technique yourself, with the help of local craftswomen, who will guide you throughout the process.
Food Argan Oil Tasting:
After extracting the oil, discover the richness of its aromas during a food argan oil tasting, accompanied by Moroccan bread and honey. You will discover how it is used in traditional Moroccan cuisine.
