Experience authentic sumo training, learn from former rikishi, and take on the challenge!

Step into the dohyō with former professional rikishi for a small-group experience focused on training, etiquette, techniques, and a match.

During this approximately 70-minute session, practice shiko, matawari, tachiai, butsukari-geiko, basic techniques, and traditional etiquette including sonkyo, chiri-chozu, bowing, and match procedures.

Every participant will challenge a former professional rikishi in a sumo match. Participants do not wrestle against each other.

The experience is held on a specially designed full-size mat-based dohyō and is limited to 15 participants.

Family and friends can join as spectators for ¥3,500 per person, including a drink and popcorn. Children aged 12 and under attend free. Spectators may also have the chance to join as a gyoji or yobidashi!

The program is open to first-time visitors and guests who have already watched sumo or visited other sumo attractions.
