What's Included
Meeting and pickup
When you arrive at 22 Via Enrico Petrella, buzz the doorbell "Bacalini" and Andrea will open the door for you. His studio is located on the third floor (with elevator)
What to expect
He will show you step by step how to create your painting, that will portray the most characteristic symbol of Florence: the Florentine lily!
It will begin with Andrea explaining the origin of the painting techniques that will be used in the lesson and the materials, after which you will start getting your hands dirty!
Initially you will use a small prop to carve the shape of the lily on your canvas, trace the shape with the dusting technique and join in pencil the dots that form the image.
After that you will use the typical gilding technique, which consists of placing a gold foil on your painting, which you will then remove only within the edges of the lily design, resulting in a beautiful gold background.
Finally you will paint your lily in the color of your choice through the tempera painting technique et voila! Your personal painting depicting the Florentine lily on a golden background is ready and you can take it home with you as a souvenir and give it as a gift to friends and family
