We visit the small Church of St. George (Sv. Jure), located on a scenic plateau above the village of Gata. This historic site was the traditional gathering place where the Duke (Knez) of the Poljica Republic was elected. The Poljica Republic, founded in the 13th century, was one of the smallest self-governed republics in Europe, known for its unique statute and strong local autonomy. From this peaceful viewpoint, guests enjoy panoramic views while learning about the fascinating political system that once governed this region.

The tour continues to the impressive statue of Mila Gojsalić, a legendary local heroine who sacrificed herself to defend Omiš from the Ottoman invasion in the 16th century. Standing high above the Cetina Canyon, the monument offers one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of Omiš, the river, and the Adriatic coast. In Omiš, we make several short panoramic photo stops at carefully selected locations that showcase the town from different perspectives. Before arriving, we drive across the new bridge that dramatically enters the Cetina River canyon, passing through three tunnels before descending into Omiš. Once in town, we stop at the eastern entrance viewpoint above Mančina, continue toward the City Harbour (Gradska Luka), the central sandy beach, and the lighthouse at the tip of the beach for stunning coastal views. The stop concludes at our Dalmatia Travel agency, where guests can relax in our comfortable lounge and enjoy complimentary coffee and water before continuing the journey through the spectacular Cetina River canyon.

Cetina River (Pass by)
From our Dalmatia Travel agency, the journey continues through the spectacular Cetina River canyon toward Radman’s Mills. As we drive along the river, guests enjoy dramatic limestone cliffs rising above the emerald water, passing the historic hydroelectric power plant that once brought electricity to the region. Along the way, you may see zipline cables stretching high above the canyon, kayakers navigating the calm sections of the river, and small excursion boats cruising through the gorge. Surrounded by rich Mediterranean flora and diverse wildlife, the 15-minute scenic drive offers a peaceful immersion into one of Croatia’s most beautiful natural landscapes before arriving at Radman’s Mills.

Radman’s Mills is a historic riverside complex dating back to the 17th century, once used as traditional water mills along the Cetina River. Surrounded by towering canyon cliffs and lush greenery, this peaceful oasis offers a relaxing break in nature. During the 30-minute stop, guests can stroll along shaded forest paths, explore the old stone mill structures, enjoy the sound of flowing water, and take beautiful photos by the river. The area is known for its tranquil atmosphere and authentic Dalmatian charm, making it a perfect place to unwind before returning to Omiš.
