Until 2009, 7 kilometers of Kallmi Hill were restricted as an Army area. Now, it’s open to the public, unveiling a hidden gem. Trekking through the area of Kallmi offers a unique experience for those who wish to immerse themselves in the Mediterranean coastal nature and find respite from the urban routine. This trekking tour provides a rare opportunity to learn about the history of navigation and colonization of the Adriatic from antiquity to the present day. Participants will receive a bibliographic list of information compiled by academics and research institutes. In addition, you will discover the diverse fauna and flora of both the hill and the coast. Together, we will visit a small bay along the route to Kallmi, where we can enjoy the wonders of nature, particularly the coastal flora in this part of Kallmi Hill. This tour is ideal for families with children aged 16 and above, as well as for larger groups.

We will delve into the role of the hill from antiquity to the present day. The location marked on the map as "Konservimi Adriatic Sh.P.K" highlights a significant area in Albania's economy during the fascist and communist regimes. Together, we will walk along the hill in a natural setting, discussing the city's history and the new prospects shaped by residents after the 1990s, a pivotal year that marked the end of the communist regime and influenced internal migration policies.
