As soon as your ship arrives at Hinode Pier, please disembark and look for our guide holding a Sunny Tours Japan sign near the arrival gate. Since this is a group tour and the port time is limited, we kindly ask that you disembark promptly upon the ship’s arrival.
Tanuki Lake offers a quieter, more peaceful atmosphere compared to the more touristy Fuji Five Lakes. From the lakeside, you can enjoy a stunning head-on view of Mt. Fuji, and on calm mornings or evenings, you may even catch the beautiful reflection of the mountain on the water—known as the “upside-down Fuji.” Surrounded by nature, it’s a perfect hidden gem for those who want to relax and enjoy Mt. Fuji in a more serene and uncrowded setting. Note: These spots are available until March 20, before the tea-picking season. After that date, the tour will include a visit to a tea plantation instead.

Explanation of Fujinomiya Omiya Yokocho “Fujinomiya Omiya Yokocho” is a lively food alley where you can easily enjoy the local flavors of Fujinomiya City. The highlight is the famous local specialty Fujinomiya Yakisoba, a unique stir-fried noodle dish made with locally produced noodles and dried sardine powder. In addition to yakisoba, you can also find regional sweets, light meals, and even craft beer, making it the perfect spot for tasting a variety of local delicacies while strolling around. Stopping by here during the tour allows you to experience Fujinomiya’s food culture in a short amount of time.
You’ll visit Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha, the spiritual center of Mt. Fuji worship. As the head shrine of over 1,300 Sengen shrines across Japan, it is a historic and sacred site registered as part of the Mt. Fuji World Cultural Heritage. Within the shrine grounds lies Wakutama Pond, a stunning spring fed by the snowmelt from Mt. Fuji that has traveled underground over many years. You can actually drink this pure Mt. Fuji spring water, known for its clean taste and sacred quality. It’s a special place where nature and faith come together—offering a truly unique opportunity to experience the blessings of Mt. Fuji.
Fuji World Heritage Center: This facility offers comprehensive exhibits covering the formation, history, culture, and nature of Mount Fuji. The latest research findings are also presented, making it ideal for those who want to learn more about this iconic mountain. The rooftop observation deck provides unparalleled 360-degree panoramic views.
Shimizu Fish Market “Kashi no Ichi” is a lively market located next to Shimizu Port, one of Japan’s major fishing ports. It offers a wide variety of fresh seafood, with popular dishes like seafood bowls and sushi that can be enjoyed on-site. Visitors can experience the vibrant atmosphere of local fishermen and market workers while savoring the freshest catches—a true highlight for food and culture lovers alike. Note: As this will be the final stop of the tour, it may be skipped depending on the progress of the tour.
