From Joburg via N3: Continue on the N3 past Harrismith and through the Tugela Plaza tollgate. Take Exit 179 for Estcourt North/Estcourt/Weenen (R74) and turn right onto the R74. Continue on the R74 for approximately 37 km. Turn left onto the D600 Follow the signs to Injasuthi Nature Reserve.

After a comprehensive tour briefing, we'll embark on an exhilarating hike to the Centenary Hut, where you'll settle in for the night amidst the stunning wilderness of the Drakensberg. On Day 2, the adventure continues as we fuel up with a hearty breakfast and prepare for the day's trek. Our journey takes us on an epic 18km hike to the base camp nestled below the majestic Mafadi Peak. Upon arrival, we'll set up camp, surrounded by breathtaking mountain vistas, and prepare to immerse ourselves in the tranquility of the wilderness. Get ready for another day of unforgettable experiences and awe-inspiring landscapes!
On Day 3, we rise with the sun for an early breakfast and prepare our essentials for the day ahead. Our challenge awaits as we embark on the exhilarating ascent of Mafadi Peak, the highest point in the Drakensberg Mountains on the South African side, soaring 3465 meters above sea level. Throughout the day, we'll conquer the peak, taking in awe-inspiring views and exploring the rugged terrain. As the sun begins to set, we make our way back to The Centenary Hut for a well-deserved overnight stay, reflecting on the triumphs of the day's adventure.
On Day 4, after a hearty breakfast and breaking camp, we begin our descent from the Centenary Hut camp, retracing our steps through the majestic landscapes of the Injasuthi Nature Reserve. As we bid farewell to the rugged beauty of the mountains, we head back to the comfort of the lodge or to our designated drop-off point, cherishing the memories of our unforgettable journey in the heart of the Drakensberg.
