Welcome! Please wait at the entrance of the Jonan Building. The entrance is gray-toned, and you’ll see the building name clearly displayed there. Your instructor will come meet you right in front of the building, so just relax and wait at the entrance—we’ll find you!

What to expect

When you arrive, you’ll step into a quiet, calming Japanese-style room—hard to believe you’re right in the middle of Shibuya.
A knowledgeable yet very friendly Japanese instructor will welcome you and share fun, interesting stories about the tea ceremony and its history.

Over the course of one hour, you’ll experience matcha along with several other traditional Japanese teas.
You won’t just taste them—you’ll also learn the proper etiquette and techniques for each one, and prepare your own tea with careful guidance.

Throughout the experience, the instructor will take plenty of photos for you. If you prefer not to be photographed, just let them know—no problem at all.
