Our experience is a beautiful fusion of traditional Portuguese cuisine and the cherished memories many of us have of spending time with our grandmothers. For grandmothers, cooking was more than a daily task—it was their way of expressing love, nurturing us with every dish they prepared.

The main course we’ve chosen is a true gem of Portuguese home cooking—a dish rarely found in restaurants today. It’s a unique opportunity to savor a recipe that has become less common but holds a special place in the heart of Portuguese culinary traditions. By sharing it, we honor the legacy of Portuguese grandmothers and their timeless recipes, keeping their traditions alive.

Our menu has been carefully selected not only for its cultural value but also for its simplicity. These dishes can be recreated in your own kitchen, no matter where you are in the world, as the ingredients are easy to find. Carry the warmth and love of Portuguese grandmothers into your home and create unforgettable moments.

What to expect

Sundays are a day to celebrate family, tradition, and the joy of gathering around the table. This cooking class is inspired by treasured moments spent beside our grandmothers, watching them work their magic in the kitchen and filling our homes with love and the irresistible aromas of their dishes.

We begin the experience by preparing Arroz Doce (Portuguese rice pudding), ensuring it’s warm and ready to enjoy as a comforting dessert. Next, we’ll dive into the main course, Guisado de Ervilhas com Chouriço e Ovos Escalfados (pea stew with chorizo and poached eggs), mastering the balance of hearty flavors and simplicity. Finally, we’ll prepare the starter, Peixinhos da Horta (green bean fritters), a crispy and iconic Portuguese dish.

Once everything is ready, we’ll sit down together to enjoy the fruits of our labor. The meal is paired with traditional Portuguese wine, and to end on a high note, we’ll share dessert with a typical digestif—a true Sunday celebration of love, connection, and Portuguese flavors.

Join us to honor the love, warmth, and legacy of grandmothers, turning Sundays into a feast of connection and Portuguese flavors.
