After the hike, enjoy lunch before the scenic return along the Costa Ballena coastline.
Corcovado Access Update:
Due to conservation rules, park permits have strict daily limits and may sell out. Passport details are required in advance or reservations cannot be made—no exceptions. If the park is full, the tour will visit Campanario Biological Station, a private reserve less than two miles away with the same rainforest, wildlife, and guided hike. By booking, you accept this change without refund.
Take Costanera Sur/Ruta Nacional Primaria 34 south to Uvita. Pass the Rio Uvita bridge, then make a right (.75km) on the street just after the Naluri Collections Home Goods Store. Then, drive .60km until you see the Martin Adventours office on the left, 80 meters before the intersection.
Guests will arrive and park at our property for check-in and then walk to the main entrance of Parque Nacional Marina Ballena. From the park entrance, there is a short hike of approximately 15 minutes to the beach, where guests will board the tour boat from the beach.
From Parque Nacional Marina Ballena, we will pass the famous Punta Uvita, or Whale's Tail, and then travel a Bahia Ballena and Bahia Uvita for approximately 1.5 hours to Cano Island. As we journey, keep your eyes peeled-depending on the season, there is a thrilling chance to spot dolphins and whales, adding an extra touch of excitement to your tour.
Next, you will land at the stunning Corcovado National Park, one of the world’s most biodiverse regions. You will disembark for a private 1.5-3-hour guided hike through lush forests there. You may encounter scarlet macaws, tapirs, pumas, and squirrel monkeys. Our professional guide will give you a full briefing on what to expect on your hike. A delicious lunch will be provided.
Next, we will cruise across Bahia Drake to the Islas Violincitas, or Violin Rock, where you can see the variety of birds on the island up close.
