Join a Seppelt tour guide for a fascinating glimpse into Australia's pioneering wine history as you explore the heritage-listed underground cellars, known as "The Drives." These hand-dug cellars, excavated by out-of-work gold miners beginning in 1868, took over 60 years to complete and stretch for 3 kilometers, capable of holding over 3 million bottles of wine. The Drives are the largest underground cellars in the Southern Hemisphere and a must-visit in the Grampians Region. After emerging from the underground, enjoy a journey through Seppelt's sparkling wines, including the iconic Seppelt Sparkling Shiraz, first produced in the early 1890s. Tours depart from the Seppelt Wines Cellar Door daily at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm. A visit to the Grampians is not complete without experiencing Seppelt Great Western's historic cellars.
