A fantastic tour at a normal pace with a little bit of everything for visitors to New York City. We will walk lower Manhattan, visiting locations of historical significance (like NYC City Hall and the 9/11 Memorial), others that are interesting in popular culture (like the Ghostbusters HQ and the courthouse steps from multiple law and police dramas in TV and film). We will be making one stop for real New York Pizza (payment for your food and drink is entirely up to you). A full list of stops is included in "Tour Details". The tour will end at the World Trade Center site, where I will share my experience as a local on the morning of September 11th 2001.
Also known as "Ghostbusters HQ", look for your host with a "Lower Manhattan Tour" sign with the last name of the reserving person on it.
Famous from all of the Ghostbusters movies, this is still an active firehouse. We will be able to step inside... unless they are out on a call.
A quick stop at the courthouse made famous in so many NYC-based police and legal dramas.
City Hall, the Woolworth building, Park Row, and amazing views of the Brooklyn Bridge and a brief history of my favorite way to cross the east river.
NYC's oldest standing church and witness to some of the city's most important events.
Housing more than $400 billion (with a "B") in gold... not available for withdrawal.
Incredibly important historically, both as the climax of the "National Treasure" movie and as the final resting place of Alexander Hamilton.
See the NY Stock Exchange, Federal Hall, the House of Morgan, and the Fearless Girl statue. Hot stock tips not included.
Where the ticker tape parade was invented and home to the "Charging Bull" statue.
The oldest park in NYC with it's original 1773 fence.
We will spend some time walking through the park, take in the single best view of the Statue of Liberty and visit Castle Clinton.
We will spend a good bit of time here to discuss my experiences as a local on September 11, 2001. We will not be going into the museum itself, although you are more than welcome to return on your own.
