Guided Photo Walk Tour in Kathmandu and Bhaktapur, Nepal

3 hours (approximately)

This photowalk offers a unique opportunity to explore Bhaktapur, one of the most culturally rich and photogenic cities in Nepal, through the eyes of a local photographer.

As your guide, I will take you beyond the tourist spots into the living city where locals dry grains in courtyards, potters shape clay by hand, and centuries-old rituals unfold in quiet corners. You will capture real moments, not staged scenes, and learn how to see light, texture, and human connection in everyday life.

Bhaktapur is the most popular route, but the experience is flexible. You can also choose to explore other parts of the valley such as Boudhanath, Asan, Panauti, or Pharping depending on your interests. Each route is designed to suit different photography styles from street and portrait to cultural and environmental storytelling.

Having a photographer as your guide means you will not just see the place. You will learn how to read it visually and tell deeper stories with your camera.

  • 1
    Bhaktapur Durbar Square

We’ll explore places where time feels slow and every corner is rich in texture and life. You’ll photograph old brick alleys, temples, artisans at work, and local people in their natural rhythm. From drying grains in open courtyards to quiet morning prayers, it’s an honest glimpse into daily life. As we walk, I’ll guide you on how to approach scenes with sensitivity framing better shots, using light creatively, and telling visual stories. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, I’ll adapt to your pace and help you see deeper into your surroundings.
