Casablanca Airport/City (we can also start the tour from Marrakech or Rabat, depending on your inbound flight). Upon arrival at the airport, we will hold a placard with your name. If the pick-up is from a hotel or Riad, we will contact you or the host by phone. Depending on your arrival time, your first visit will be to the Corniche promenade along the Atlantic coast, followed by Casablanca’s landmark, the Hassan II Mosque. This mosque features the second tallest minaret in the world, with guided visits available from September to June on Saturday to Thursday at 9am, 10am, 11am, and 2pm, and on Friday at 9am and 2pm. In July and August, guided visits are daily at 2:30pm. After the mosque visit, you will depart for Rabat
Enjoy a half-day guided tour of the Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, escorted by a local official guide. Begin at the Royal Palace and walk through the Jewish quarter, known as the Mellah. Next, you'll head to the Kasbah Borj fortress for a stunning panoramic view over the Medina. Visit a local factory specializing in ceramics and Fez tiles. Your guide will drop you off at the Blue Gate, where you'll start navigating the narrow streets. Highlights include the Qarawiyyin Mosque and University, Nejjarine Square, Chouara Tanneries, and Bab Bou Jeloud gates. You'll return to your Riad in the afternoon.
Depart Fes in the morning.
We head south toward the Middle Atlas Mountains, with our first stop in Ifrane. Often referred to as the 'Switzerland of Morocco', Ifrane becomes very crowded during the winter season as it is home to Morocco's main ski resort.
We continue driving through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through beautiful scenery filled with valleys of apple, apricot, and plum orchards. We will stop for lunch in Midelt. As we cross the High Atlas Mountains via various road passes, the landscape rapidly changes to palm groves. Along the way, we will stop for panoramic photos and breaks.
Continue to Merzouga, enjoy mint tea, and embark on a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes to witness a stunning sunset. Spend the night in a Berber nomad tent, with dinner under the stars. Overnight in Merzouga with breakfast and dinner included.
Start the day with a sunrise in the desert.
The vehicle heads northwest toward Rissani, a city that was once a bustling caravanserai trading center. Historically known for its gold and slave auctions, Rissani is also the hometown of the current dynasty.
We head to the High Atlas Mountains once more, this time toward Tinghir, one of the most beautiful oases, surrounded by mountains and canyons. Drive along the Todra Gorge, a striking valley with rocky canyons and towering palm trees. Take a short walk through the gorge before breaking for lunch.
Continue through Dades Valley, enjoying its romantic scenery and rich landscapes. Overnight in Dades with breakfast and dinner included.
Depart in the morning.
Travel to Ouarzazate, stopping in the “roses city” and visiting the Kasbah of Taourirt and Atlas Studios.
Our next destination is the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, built in the 11th century. This iconic location has been featured in films such as Lawrence of Arabia, The Jewel of the Nile, Gladiator, and Alexander. We will have lunch here.
Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, passing Berber villages. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon. Overnight in Marrakech with breakfast included in the Riad.
Explore the Red City, visiting the Koutoubia Mosque, Jamaa El Fna Square, Bahia Palace, and the bustling souks.
