Please gather in front of the main gate of Osaka Temmangu Shrine. Staff will be there with an orange scarf. ※ From Minamimorimachi Station Take Exit No. 4 and immediately turn right (south direction) on Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street, then turn left on the second street and go about 50 meters.

What to expect

Discover Osaka like a local with Yuka's Osaka Cooking Base — a cultural food experience that combines cooking, guided exploration, and real interactions with the people who shape Japan’s everyday food culture.

Your experience begins with a guided walk through hidden local shops near Osaka Tenmangu Shrine. These are places most travelers would never find on their own. You’ll meet friendly shop owners, learn about seasonal ingredients, and get a glimpse of how locals shop and cook in their daily lives.
This short tour is not just sightseeing — it’s a hands-on cultural exchange where you can ask questions, taste, and connect with the community.

After the tour, head back to the kitchen for an engaging cooking class (total duration 2.5–3 hours).
Classes are taught in English and feature easy, tasty, authentic dishes such as Okonomiyaki, Bento, Katsu Curry, or Ramen & Gyoza. Recipes are beginner-friendly and can be recreated at home long after your trip.
