Small groups are at the heart of how we dive. Certified divers are guided by a PADI Instructor, with a maximum of 4 divers in the water, allowing for a more personal and relaxed experience.
Our shore dives explore the coastline around Almyrida, usually at Koutalas, a sheltered bay with a variety of Mediterranean marine life. Your instructor knows the local dive sites and can help you spot species that are easily missed.
Full scuba equipment is included, so you can simply arrive at the dive centre, get equipped and enjoy your dive.
We focus on personal service, local knowledge and small-group diving rather than putting large numbers of divers in the water.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Pickup is available from locations within our designated pickup areas. Your exact pickup time and location will be confirmed after booking. Please be ready and waiting at the agreed pickup point at the confirmed time.
Meet at Kefi Divers in Almyrida. We are located on the main road, with plenty of free parking nearby. The dive centre is also approximately 200 metres from the Almyrida bus stop, with bus connections from Chania. Our team will be waiting to welcome you at the dive centre.
What to expect
Your experience begins at our PADI Dive Centre in Almyrida, where you'll meet your instructor, prepare your equipment and receive a briefing before heading together to the dive site.
Our usual shore-diving location is Koutalas, a sheltered bay and natural nursery for Mediterranean marine life. If conditions make Koutalas unsuitable, we'll select another appropriate dive site for the day.
Once in the water, you'll explore the site alongside your PADI Instructor in a small group. Keep an eye out for Mediterranean marine life including octopus, lionfish, moray eels, scorpionfish, barracuda and schools of fish.
Participants must hold a valid scuba diving certification. If you have not dived within the past 12 months, you will need to complete a refresher dive before joining the guided dive.
After diving, we'll return together to the dive centre in Almyrida, where your experience finishes.

- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
