What to expect

Your experience begins with meeting your host at a subway station in downtown Nagoya.
You will walk together toward the kitchen while your host introduces the surrounding neighborhood, including Nagoya’s unique wholesale district and historic temples. Along the way, you will stop at a local supermarket to explore everyday Japanese ingredients and see how locals shop.

After arriving at the kitchen, you will enjoy a brief introduction to Japanese tea culture and taste tea commonly enjoyed in daily life.

Your host is a licensed national guide interpreter and is happy to answer questions about Japanese culture and everyday life throughout the experience.

Ingredients are half-prepared in advance, allowing you to focus on learning cooking techniques and completing the dishes together. After cooking, we will sit down and enjoy the meal you have prepared.
