08:30 – Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hanoi’s oldest Buddhist temple, built in the 6th century under Emperor Ly Nam De. Nestled on a small island in West Lake, this ancient pagoda stands as a symbol of Vietnam’s spiritual and architectural heritage.
09:15 – Visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, home to the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh, the beloved leader of Vietnam. Explore his Stilt House, where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969, preserved as a reflection of his humble lifestyle. Continue to the One Pillar Pagoda, an iconic Hanoi landmark dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy and celebrated as one of Asia’s most unique architectural treasures.
11:00 – Visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, which showcases the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam’s 54 officially recognized ethnic groups through exhibitions, artifacts, and traditional houses. Note: On Mondays, when the Museum of Ethnology is closed, the itinerary will be replaced with a visit to the Vietnam Women’s Museum. 12h30-12h45: Have lunch with Vietnamese cuisine at our luxury restaurant name “Mesdames Linh”.
13:45 – 14:00 – Visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university, founded in 1070 and dedicated to Confucius and scholars. Once home to the Imperial Academy, it remains a lasting symbol of Vietnam’s rich educational heritage and reverence for learning.
15:00 – Continue to Hoa Lo Prison, built by the French between 1886 and 1901 during the colonial era. Known as Maison Centrale, it once held Vietnamese revolutionaries opposing French rule and later, during the Vietnam War, American prisoners of war. Today, the site stands as a poignant reminder of Vietnam’s turbulent history and the enduring spirit of its people.
