Over 60 years ago, a powerful 7.2-magnitude earthquake reshaped the Yellowstone region. Massive landslides blocked rivers, destroyed roads and buildings, and caused damage nearly 50 miles from the epicenter. In the decades since, the landscape has transformed—forming what is now Earthquake Lake, rebuilding infrastructure, and creating striking scenery best appreciated from above.
