You’ve likely heard of major rivers like the Mississippi and the Snake River, but few people ever see where they begin. Yellowstone National Park is one of North America’s most important headwater regions, and West Yellowstone sits atop the Continental Divide, where water splits and flows in two directions.
On this scenic flight, enjoy a bird’s-eye view of rivers flowing out of Yellowstone. Water east of the divide eventually reaches the Gulf of Mexico, while water to the west flows to the Pacific Ocean. From above, watch these waterways carve valleys and shape the surrounding mountain landscape over time.
Flying along both sides of the divide, you’ll follow these rivers and learn how they helped shape the land and history of the American West—an unforgettable perspective only possible from the air.

Meeting and pickup
Look for our Fly Yellowstone Parking sign along the fence on your right as you enter the airport. If you reach the main terminal building you have gone too far. Park in front of the sign, your pilot will come meet you at your vehicle.
