Sheikh Zayed Road is the longest and most iconic highway in the UAE. Built between 1971 and 1980, it is named after the founding father of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and offers visitors impressive views of Dubai’s modern skyline.
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the world’s largest mosques and a masterpiece of Islamic architecture. It features 82 domes, over 1,000 columns, 24-carat-gold chandeliers, and the world’s largest hand-knotted carpet.
The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) is the largest exhibition centre in the Middle East, featuring 73,000 m² of indoor event space and 55,900 m² of outdoor space. It’s a key landmark in Abu Dhabi’s modern skyline.
We’ll allow about 10 minutes for photos, subject to security. Built as a symbol of national prestige, Emirates Palace spans 850,000 m². Its opulent interiors feature traditional decor, gold, marble, and modern technology.
We’ll drive past the Presidential Palace, and if security allows, a quick photo stop from outside. The palace, located beside Emirates Palace on Ras Al Akhdar peninsula, serves as the official meeting place of the UAE Cabinet and Federal Supreme Council. The grounds, including the palace and gardens, cover 150 hectares.

The Dates Market is the largest in Abu Dhabi, offering a wide variety of dates from local and regional producers, including Oman and Saudi Arabia, usually at the best prices in town.
Yas Island is a major leisure and entertainment hub in Abu Dhabi, developed since 2006 by Aldar Properties. It features shopping, attractions, and entertainment, making it a key destination in the city.
