Your first stop upon arrival is the Bamboo Grove Temple (Chuk Lam Temple), nestled on the mountainside. Stroll through the peaceful courtyard for approximately 30 minutes, admiring its architectural beauty and learning about the unique influence of Zen Buddhism on Vietnamese spiritual life. Reach the foot of Yen Tu Mountain, a sacred pilgrimage site with rich cultural and spiritual significance. Have a delicious local lunch at the foot of Yen Tu Mountain. Take the cable car with your guide and visit Hoa Yen Pagoda and Mot Mai Pagoda. Take a scenic cable car through lush forests and mountain slopes to the summit, visit the Bronze Pagoda, trek, and enjoy the panoramic views and begin your spiritual ascent. Descend via cable car and return to your vehicle.
Hoa Yen Temple (534 meters above sea level). This temple, once home to the monk Tran Nhon Dzong, is a place of both historical significance and natural beauty. Climbing the stone steps under the shade of ancient pine trees reveals panoramic views overlooking the valley. Mot Mai (Single-Roofed Pagoda), a small temple perched on a rocky cliff. It is renowned for its tranquility and spiritual retreat. Head to the second cable car station to get closer to the summit. After disembarking, a short walk leads to the statue of An Gi-saeng, the mythical figure who is said to have attained enlightenment on this mountain. Surrounded by mist and mountain air, it is a cultural monument and a scenic spot.
The final section of the tour follows the stone steps to the legendary Dong Pagoda (Bronze Pagoda), perched atop the 1,068-meter peak. Built entirely of bronze, this small temple stands against the sky, a sacred place for incense burning, contemplation, and panoramic views of the entire northern landscape. On a clear day, you can even see as far as Ha Long Bay.
