Would you like to learn how to surf in Sagres or improve your surfing technique? Join our surf lessons with qualified instructors and learn while having fun with us! All our surf lessons are taught in small groups to ensure the correct learning and safety. We work with quality equipment, and we offer transfer to the best spot of the day and lunch box with our lessons. Discover freedom, challenge limits, and embrace the power of the ocean. What to expect
Once you arrive at our meeting point, together with our surf instructors, you choose the wetsuit size that suits you best and load the boards into the van and head to the best surf spot of the day, depending the weather conditions and tide.
When you arrive to the beach each class are divided into its theoretical and practical components. The surf theory sessions include information about:
- Presentation of the surfing equipment
- Introduction to the aquatic environment
- Safety rules
- Surfboard handling techniques
- Paddling techniques (how to catch a wave)
- Take-off technique (1-2-3)
- Balance techniques on the surfboard
- Explanation of the winds’ functioning and behaviour of the waves
Classes always start with stretching exercises to prevent any injuries. During the time in the water our surf instructors are constantly giving feedback and orientation to improve your skills. The 3 hours class is divided into two lessons a day, lasting one hour and 30 minutes each. In between lessons, there is a break for lunch to ensure that you recharge and eat your lunch pack.
At the end of the two sessions, with a tired body and many fun memories, the van drives back to meeting point.
