Yamanashi 1 Day Zen Retreat Departing from Tokyo

7 hours 30 minutes (approximately)
Offered in: Japanese

This one-day Zen retreat is designed for those seeking a break from the busy modern world, set in a beautiful Zen temple in Yamanashi. While the temple can be difficult to reach by public transportation, it is easily accessible via a private bus from Shinjuku, taking you to a serene location far from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Experience Zazen (Zen meditation) in the crisp, dignified atmosphere, enjoy calming matcha green tea, and savor a Shojin Ryori (Buddhist vegetarian cuisine) lunch that engages all five senses. Simply sitting and listening to the sounds of wind and water will help quiet and clear your mind.
