Known as the “Place of Light,” Omarama is a popular gliding capital with clear skies and expansive mountain views. Here you’ll find: Wrinkly Rams Café for coffee or lunch
One of the most photogenic stops on your journey. Its intense turquoise waters are colored by glacial flour, with Mount Cook/Aoraki rising majestically in the distance. This is a must-stop for photos, stretching, and enjoying the crisp air.
