This tour offers the thrill of using an e-bike, the scenery of mountains, forests and ocean, and presentations at works of public art.

You will gain a better understanding of Alaska and of Anchorage through experiencing its art and natural beauty.

The e-bike offers pedal-assist, making the pedaling near effortless. From this tour you will get to see a wide swath of the city...without breaking a sweat.

Our tour offers a unique experience by combining the beauty of both nature and art. You'll get the historical and cultural information of a museum while surrounded by Anchorage's best scenery.

Meeting and pickup

Meeting point

Meeting place is at the EAST END of Tudor Elementary property. Meet at the PARKING LOT EXIT. This is on the side of the school adjacent to an open field. Meet by the stop sign. Guide will have a yellow Hi-vis vest and clipboard. Starting August 12, please park on Cache Dr, NOT in the parking lot.

    Travelers will be able to see the Whaling Wall, a huge mural depicting Alaskan marine wildlife, and will learn interesting facts about the mural. This is just one of the many art stops along the tour route. This is also the spot where we stop for coffee.

    The tour will pass along the south side of the Anchorage Museum, touring several works of public art that are there. These include an abstract sculpture, tile mosaic, and a graffiti style mural. No museum entrance or admission provided.

    After seeing many works of public art in downtown, the tour makes it's way down to the Coastal Trail bike path. From there, you can see stunning views of Cook Inlet, Lake Clark National Park, Sleeping Lady Mountain, and even Denali (on a clear day).

    The Chester Creek Greenbelt is our link from Downtown to the UAA campus, and includes stops at public art along the way. The area has dense birch and spruce forest, and moose and bear are regularly seen (no promises, though!)

    Our tour starts and ends with Campbell Creek Greenbelt. The trail here offers stunning views of the Chugach Mountains as well as spruce and birch forest.

    The tour skirts the APU campus. Travelers are free to check out the art galleries there after the tour is over!

    The tour goes through the UAA campus and views a couple statues there. After that, we bike through forest to see Goose Lake before heading on to the Chester Creek Greenbelt.
