Truffle Hunting in San Miniato in Tuscany with Tasting

Tuscany, and in particular the countryside enclosed between the medieval villages of San Miniato and Montaione, is the land of origin of the truffle. In this area we have truffles all year round! The collection of several valuable species of truffles takes place: the white truffle; the black summer and winter truffles and finally the white truffle. The particular climatic conditions, the composition of the soil, and the preservation of the natural territory, make the hills of San Miniato one of the main collection sites in the world for the quantity, but above all for the quality of the truffle.
This experience will take place in the company of Leonardo and his sweet Lagotti Romagnoli Aki and Roi, who will guide you along the secret paths in the woods in search of the diamond of the earth. Around the truffle there is a whole world, partly still unknown even to science, that we will try to discover: how the truffle is born and developed, why it is found in certain areas and at certain times, why and who are responsible for its aroma. After the research will be offered a tasting of truffle products and you will be explained the various applications of truffles in the kitchen.
