    Amarante

    In Amarante, you can visit the historic center (São Gonçalo Bridge and Church) as well as try the conventual sweets (made with almonds, eggs, and sugar), a small break on the way to the Douro Valley.

    After passing through the Serra de Teixeira, Mesão Frio is the place where you can start to see the idyllic landscapes of the Douro. Passing through Mesão Frio, there is a viewpoint where, for the first time, you can admire the Douro River and the vineyards.

  • Peso Da Regua (Pass by)

    After passing through Caldas de Moledo, you arrive at Peso da Régua, the capital city of the Douro Valley. Here, you can see the old port, the Régua Bridge, the train station, and the entrance to the National Road classified as the most beautiful landscape in the world (N222).

    Pinhao

    After traveling about 20 km on the N222, where you can admire a fabulous view of vineyards, the river, cork oaks, and the unique terraces protected by UNESCO, you arrive in Pinhão. Here, you can enjoy wine and olive oil tastings, a one-hour Rabelo boat tour, and also have lunch. All these experiences should be arranged in advance with the agent via email (hm.winetours.pt@gmail.com) to ensure reservations and access to the best and most private locations. The price of boat tour, lunch, and tastings is not included in the final price.

  • Sabrosa (Pass by)

    After lunch, you head towards Sabrosa, where you can admire the last viewpoints of the Douro before the official wine tasting: the Miguel Torga viewpoint (a Portuguese writer with strong ties to the interior of Portugal) and the Provesende viewpoint (the most heraldic village in Portugal).

    In the village of Cumieira, a wine-producing area of the Douro Wine Region, near the Corgo River, the official wine tasting will take place. This includes a visit to the winery, an exploration of the vineyards, and finally, the tasting of some of the highest-rated wines from the Douro. Note: This official visit can be modified according to the supplier's availability and always in agreement with the client. Private tastings within the same price range will always be suggested.
