What to expect
If needed, we use headlamps to light the way as we hike through the cool morning air. As the first light appears, the sky shifts from deep blue to soft pink and gold while the Atlantic Ocean, Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles slowly emerge from the darkness.
The early start means we enjoy the mountain at its most peaceful and beat the heat of the day. At the summit we celebrate the morning with freshly brewed coffee and time to take in the spectacular 360° views over Cape Town, Robben Island, Camps Bay and the Atlantic coastline.
The trail is short but rewarding, with a steady climb and a few fun scrambling sections near the summit. Your experienced local guide keeps the hike safe and relaxed while sharing stories about the landscape, fynbos and the history of this iconic peak.
Optional homemade hiking packs with fresh sourdough sandwiches and classic South African “padkos” snacks can be pre-ordered.
