The tour begins with a welcome presentation and an introduction to the historical side of Madrid. We head to the Retiro neighborhood to see landmarks like the Crystal Palace and its lush gardens. Next, we visit the Prado area, including the art triangle, Cibeles Center, Gran Via, and Canalejas Center. We then explore Santa Ana Square, known for its literary history, including the life of Ernest Hemingway and Cervantes’ House, where Don Quixote was written. Following this, we visit the Madrid of the Hapsburg dynasty, including Paseo del Prado, Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace, Almudena Cathedral, San Gines Church, and the Royal Theatre. The tour also includes stops at the Guinness World’s Oldest Restaurant, the origin of tapas, Homes for Malice, The Bear and the Strawberry Tree, Plaza de la Villa, and the Gated Square. It concludes with a stroll through the historical center, Plaza Mayor, Congress, Bellas Artes School, and Roman ruins. Distances between sites are 150-200 meters.
