What to expect

This class offers a warm and authentic experience of Japanese home cooking and culture in Nagoya.
Together with a Japanese Grandma, you will start by learning the basics of Japanese dashi (soup stock), then cook three of Nagoya’s most famous dishes—tebasaki chicken wings, tenmusu rice balls, and kishimen noodles—as well as Japanese home classics like spinach with sesame and tamagoyaki (rolled omelet).
After enjoying the meal you’ve prepared, you will take part in a tea ceremony (table and chair style) matcha experience, where you whisk your own bowl of matcha and enjoy it with seasonal Japanese sweets.
More than just a cooking class, this experience gives you a taste of local flavors, warm hospitality, and the heart of Japanese food culture.
