Discover the best gastronomy in Barcelona with the help of our experienced chef Albert Calls. Born in Barcelona but with experience as a chef throughout Spain and the world in hotels and restaurants. He will show you the local culinary culture in a fun and educational way, you will be able to learn about the products that have made Spain famous internationally. He will show you the secrets of making paella, while you taste our wines and taste delicious avant-garde tapas. If you are looking for a gourmet experience where both the activity and the products are of the highest quality, this is your place. We hope to soon be able to show you our beautiful school and introduce you to the best of our culture.

The meeting point will be in front of The Barcelona Edition Hotel, Marriott. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time. If you cannot arrive at the agreed time, we would appreciate it if you could notify us by phone so we can plan a second meeting point.

What to expect

Our private chef will be waiting for you at the meeting point, he will be in charge of welcoming you and guiding you through the whole experience.

Here we will decide which of the 4 paellas we will prepare by majority vote. 1 option up to 9 participants and 2 if we reach 10 participants

We start with a quick explanation of the history of Santa Caterina Market

While we walk we will discover some of the best vegetable shops, delicatessens, fishmongers, butchers and spices. I will show you how to select the right products for the paella and will pick up some.

A 5-minute walk takes us to the kitchen classroom.

There they welcome us with a glass of local wine or the drink that you prefer, and some gourmet tapas.

Everything will be ready to start the cooking workshop, our chef will guide you step by step to prepare each recipe.

You will learn the secrets of Spanish cuisine, in a participatory and fun way.

Finally, the set table awaits us so we can taste the prepared dishes and more drinks. Where you can share a table with your family and other participants. To finish, our chef will delight you with 2 signature desserts that will put the finishing touch to the experience.
