About us: We are an international Team of professional Raftguides, that have been running these Trips in the name of Bergbahnen Scuol AG since the Year 2000. All of our guides have many years of international rafting experience and are Swiss and internationally licensed. Our guides are also qualified white-water rescue technicians and are first aid qualified. Running one of the most exciting white-water rivers in Europe demands attention to detail and safety. At Engadin Adventure safety is present at every level of our operation. Each year we undergo a safety audit that is carried on behalf of Safety in Adventures foundation of Switzerland by the SGS.

Engadin Adventure uses high quality international rafting equipment from recognized white-water outfitters and all of our guests are fitted out with it before we go on the river.

What to expect

The Giarsun gorge is renowned as one of the best white-water runs in Europe. This trip starts in the village of Susch some 20 kilometres up the valley from Scuol. The first 6 kilometres of our trip take us through one of the most picturesque valleys in Europa where we pass ancient villages Lavin, Giarsun and Guarda and the towering peaks of Piz Linard and Piz Mezdi. Soon after we enter the Giarsun gorge where the river steepens and the canyon narrows. From now on the rapids follow in quick succession each more difficult and longer than the last, this is some of the best technical rafting that you will find anywhere and the action doesn’t let up until we reach our take-out point at the Ardez bridge. When you return from the river there is cold beer, a warm shower and your photos waiting for you!
