    It was build by Ashikaga Yoshimitsu in 1397 during the Muromachi period. The Kinkaku, or Golden Pavilion, is an iconic Zen Buddhist temple. Its top two floors are covered in gold-leaf, shimmering in the midst of a beautiful garden and reflecting pond. Its historical significance and cultural beauty has made it a globally recognized symbol of Japan.

    Here you will drink matcha green tea. Entoku-in is a historic Buddhist temple built in the Muromachi Period, renowned for its meditative Zen rock gardens.
