An excursion that takes you back to 1945. The year in which the anti-Hitler coalition conquered the capital of the Reich, Berlin. It brought about the end of the Second World War in Europe. The excursion takes you to the battlefield east of Berlin.
The Battle of the Seelow Heights was the largest tank battle of the Second World War. We use maps to trace the stages of this conflict. Historical sound recordings will take your breath away. We visit selected, authentic places in the Oderbruch cultural heritage.
An audio/slide presentation at the end of the excursion provides a summary of the day.

Visit the former fortress of Küstrin, which was completely destroyed by the Red Army in the spring of 1945 during the advance on the Reich capital Berlin. It still lies in ruins today. We will retrace the events using maps.
The Oder crossing of the 1st Belorussian Front under Marshal Zhukov. The town also contains the bunkers from which he commanded the Battle of the Seelow Heights.
