Travel in an open safari vehicle with an experienced ranger who will share fascinating insights into the park’s ecosystems, animal behavior, and conservation history. The reserve is renowned for its rich biodiversity and is home to the Big Five, including a strong population of white rhino, as well as elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and a variety of antelope species. After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing hippo and croc boat cruise on the St Lucia Estuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of South Africa’s most remarkable wetlands. Cruise along calm waters as experienced guides point out pods of hippos basking and wallowing in the shallows, along with Nile crocodiles resting on the riverbanks. The estuary is also home to a rich variety of birdlife, making this cruise ideal for nature and photography enthusiasts. Informative commentary along the way provides insight into the unique ecosystem and wildlife of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, offering a memorable and scenic wildlife experience.

From St Lucia Estuary, take a lunch break. Then proceed for a game safari in Isimangaliso Wetlands Park in a closed vehicle with our guide. From the St Lucia Estuary, take a relaxing lunch break before continuing the adventure. Thereafter, proceed into iSimangaliso Wetland Park for a guided game safari in a closed vehicle, exploring diverse landscapes that range from wetlands and open savannah to coastal forests. Accompanied by our knowledgeable guide, keep an eye out for wildlife such as buffalo, zebra, antelope, and a variety of bird species while learning about the park’s unique ecosystems and conservation importance. Thereafter travel back to Durban to end the 2 day tour.
