Our Madrid Rises tour starts at the Puerta del Sol (easily reached by metro, bus or taxi) and leads you to the iconic sites and hidden jewels of old Madrid from its earliest origins as a remote Arab fortress to its rise as the capital of Spain under the Austrian Habsburg kings. Follow the interactive map to carefully selected locations and have fun as a family with activities and stories that bring each site and its history to life.
