This special tour offers a unique opportunity to experience Shizuoka’s Zen, shojin ryori (traditional Buddhist cuisine culture), and history all in one journey.
Departing from Shimizu Port, the tour begins with an authentic Zazen meditation experience at a Buddhist temple. In a serene setting, guests can calm their minds and immerse themselves in Japanese spiritual traditions through meditation, chanting, incense rituals, and even temple grounds cleaning. A personalized goshuin (temple stamp) and a certificate of completion will be presented as meaningful keepsakes.
In the afternoon, enjoy a customizable sightseeing experience by choosing from Shizuoka City’s representative attractions, such as Ryuge-ji Temple, Nihondaira Yume Terrace, or Sunpu Castle Park.

Sutra Chanting & Incense Offering Take part in a traditional Japanese ritual by offering incense while listening to sutra chanting by a Buddhist priest. Temple Cleaning Experience (Approx. 10 minutes) Experience samu, a Zen practice of mindful cleaning that helps bring clarity and balance to the mind.
