Ivalo: Aurora Hunting with Reindeer

Join us for an unforgettable evening at our reindeer fence, where you'll have the chance to meet the reindeer and learn about their yearly cycle and the traditions of reindeer herding. The experience includes roasting reindeer sausages over an open fire, served with homemade hot berry juice in a cozy, traditional hut. Warm up by the fire while waiting for the northern lights to appear.

While the aurora is a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed, you’ll still get up close with the reindeer, immerse yourself in local culture, and try “suopunki” throwing – the traditional lasso technique used to catch reindeer.
