    Urquhart Castle

Our first stop on the way to Skye will be Urquhart Castle. The ruins sit perched on the banks of Loch Ness. Our guide will tell you about the history of the castle, and the folklore and legends about the loch and our most famous beast, Nessie as we look down from a viewpoint above.

The Glenmoriston Footprints are a lessor known, but important site, when it comes to Highland history and legend! Finlay Munro preached from a spot in Glenmoriston in 1827 and left two footprints. No blades of grass have on the spot since!

We will stop around half way on our journey to Skye at Cluanie Inn, which sits right in the heart of the mountains. There is a rest room here for your comfort, and usually a few Highland Coos too!

    Sligachan Old Bridge

This 200 year old bridge crosses the river Sligachan at a beautiful spot surrounded by both the black and red cuillin mountains. The waters that run under the bridge are said to be blessed by fairies! Dip your face in for 7 seconds and you might just get eternal beauty! We will also take a short walk up to some lessor known pools and waterfalls at this spot.

    Kilt Rock

Kilt Rock is a spectacular cliff edge where the layered stone resembles the pattern of a tartan kilt. Meallt falls flows from the loch of the same name at the top of the cliff and crashes over into the sea below. On a clear day you can get fantastic views all the way to mainland Scotland.

    Quiraing

Possible the most beautiful viewpoint in the world. Ok, I might be a wee bit biased, but the otherworldy landscape of the Quiraing never fails to take our guest's breaths away. We have seen it so many times and I still get chills standing here on a clear day! If the cloud level is too low to get a good view from the Quiraing the guide will offer an alternative spot. Skye isn't known as the "Misty Isle" for nothing!

    Eilean Donan Castle

As we make our way back to Inverness we will stop at the world famous Eilean Donan Castle for a photograph. There are also restrooms available at this stop.
