  Puerto Princesa

  Binuatan Weaving Creations Center, also known as Binuatan Creations Handloom Weaving, is a handicraft production site and pasalubong (Filipino term for souvenirs) center in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan that features the centuries-old traditional art and craft of hand-loom weaving by local craftsmen using locally-produced and indigenous fibers. “Binuatan” is a local word from a native Palawan dialect that means “creation” in English or “pagawaan” in Filipino.

  The Butterfly Garden, or now called the Butterfly Eco-Garden and Tribal Village, is a butterfly sanctuary and cultural experience facility in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. The site is one of the most frequented destinations in Puerto Princesa, especially as part of a day trip within the city. It showcases different species of butterflies as well as other insects and animals and the chance to meet and learn the culture of one of Palawan’s indigenous tribes.

  Mitra Farm

  Also known as Rancho Sta. Monica, Mitra’s Ranch in Puerto Princesa, is a significant part of Palawan city tours’ itinerary. Located in the hilly terrain of Sta. Monica Heights, Mitra’s Ranch is privately owned by the late Senator and statesman Ramon V. Mitra, Jr. The gracious family opened their ranch to the public and it, later on, became one of the more popular tourist sites in Puerto Princesa.

  Baker's Hill is usually a last stop when you visit Puerto Princesa. It's where you can buy most of the famous food souvenirs or pasalubong, but the great thing about this place is you are hitting two birds with one stone -- buying and wandering.

  A National Historical Site, Plaza Cuartel is a restored ruin of an old garrison where, in the evening of December 14, 1944 Japanese soldiers burned around 150 American prisoners of war in a tunnel found beneath the park's portals, which now stands as a grim reminder of World War II atrocities. The remains of those who died were buried at St.Louis Country, Jefferson Barracks, National Cemetery, Missouri, U.S.A in 1952. Only I prisoners survived to tell the story.

  Puerto Princesa

  Puerto Princesa Baywalk is a long stretch of a well-paved promenade on Sandoval St., Puerto Princesa, Palawan. It is somewhat similar to the baywalk in Manila Bay, although it’s a bit smaller and the air is cleaner. Puerto Princesa Baywalk has been a popular hangout spot for locals and tourists alike because it is clean and accessible. Locals and tourists come to the Baywalk to relax and enjoy the view of the bay. Some go jogging; others do brisk walking or strolling while most are just hanging out. The cool breeze from the bay makes it perfect for unwinding and relaxation.
