In just one day, you will see three of the most beautiful places in Kyrgyzstan. Start at Burana Tower — an ancient Silk Road monument where stone warriors and history come to life. Then stop for kattama flatbread and samovar tea at a local café before exploring the stunning Kok-Moynok Canyons, where red and yellow rocks have been shaped by nature over millions of years. End the day at Issyk-Kul Lake — one of the largest mountain lakes in the world — where you can relax on the beach and swim in summer. Small group, English-speaking guide, everything included.
The meeting point is at the Main Train Station in Bishkek (Prospekt Erkindik 1). Look for the bus on the west side of the station entrance, where your guide will be waiting.
Meet your English-speaking guide at the train station in Bishkek. From here, the group sets off together toward the Chuy Valley for a day packed with history, nature, and lake views.
Your first stop is the historic Burana Tower — a 9th-century minaret that once guided Silk Road travelers across the steppe. Climb to the top for panoramic views over the Chuy Valley, explore the ancient petroglyphs and stone warrior statues at the base, and learn the fascinating story of the lost city of Balasagun from your guide.
After Burana, we stop at a local café for a well-earned break. You'll try kattama — a traditional Kyrgyz layered flatbread — served with tea brewed in a classic samovar. A simple and authentic taste of local life before we head into the canyons.
Located in the Boom Gorge on the way to Issyk-Kul, Kok-Moynok is one of Kyrgyzstan's most beautiful hidden gems. The canyons are made of red and yellow sandstone, shaped over millions of years into towers, corridors, and formations that look almost like a fairy tale. You'll walk through winding passages up to 2.5 km long, with plenty of time to explore and take photos. The walk is easy and relaxed — no special fitness level required.
The final stop is the western shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, one of the largest alpine lakes in the world. We visit a local beach where you can sit by the water, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and take in the stunning views. From June to August, the water is warm enough to swim — so bring your swimsuit if you're visiting in summer.
After the lake, we drive back to Bishkek along the scenic Boom Gorge. You'll arrive in the evening, having covered ancient history, dramatic canyons, and one of the world's most beautiful lakes — all in one day.
