The Philosophical Walking Tour is a tour thought for those who love history and art, culture and beauty. It consists of a morning walk along the most important historical-artistic sights in Venice, from Rialto to St. Mark's Square. At the end of the tour we will enjoy a delicious coffee in one of the most ancient cafés and literary salons in the world, in St. Mark's Square. The most ancient "cantina" (winery) in Venice, open since 1462, is something spectacular. We will stop by this beautiful places to admire its interior decorations and breathe the atmosphere that only a place like this can offer.
We will then reach the beautiful Contarini snail staircase, a magnificent example of human artistic genius.
We will admire the famous and first theatre of Venice: la Fenice. While listening its story, you will be certainly able to enjoy the beauty of one of the most characteristic "campi" (squares) in Venice.
We will stop by an art and glass gallery that you will undoubtedly just adore. Not only for its artistically valuable pieces, but specially for the historical inheritance of that place: it was in fact home to one of the first literary salons in the world.
We will pass by the church of St Moioses, of which we will be able to admire its extremely baroque ornaments.
We will then reach the famous and renowned Harry's Bar and talk about its origins.
Facing the extraordinary beauty of the St. Mark's Basilica, we will talk about its story while admiring its incredible mosaics and ornaments.
We will then talk about the Doge's Palace, its history and role during the Venetian Republic.
We will admire the famous Bridge of Sights.
Our last stop is a wonderful surprise! Just a hint: it's a magical and absolutely charming place where we will enjoy a delicious coffee while having a pleasant conversation between us.
