Discover a forgotten corner of Tirana County, and enjoy a traditional home-cooked village lunch.
On this unique day trip we'll take you deep into the little-visited Tirana Valleys, to enjoy lunch at a small village with no asphalt connections to the capital. The only road in and out is extremely rough, and the 10km stretch takes an hour to climb, and 45 minutes to descend. Your transport will be the village minibus - a 1980s Mercedes driven by the local bus driver, Beni.
On arriving in the village it's possible to make a short walk to take in the beautiful views, before we sit down to lunch in the village café (which has a small garden if the weather's good). Please be aware, this is not a formal restaurant - the café owner's mother cooks the food in the morning, using local ingredients, and the facilities are very basic!
In summertime, draught beer is (usually) available, and of course raki. If you'd like to drink wine, please let us know in advance so we can arrange!
Your driver will be waiting for you in front of Komiteti Bar, at the rear of Tirana's Pyramid.
We'll be heading deep into the little-visited Tirana Valleys for a day of rural adventure.
