Located at the entrance of Cotopaxi National Park, the Mariscal Sucre Interpretation Center is your first stop, where you’ll gain key insights into the richness of the Andean ecosystem and the fascinating geological history of the volcano. Here, you can acclimate and get ready for the adventure ahead.

Laguna de Limpiopungo
Our next stop is this peaceful lagoon, perfect for an acclimatization hike. You'll enjoy the serenity of the páramo, observe diverse birdlife, and capture unparalleled views of Cotopaxi and the majestic Rumiñahui massif.

Refugio Cotopaxi (Jose Ribas)
Get ready for a challenging hike as you ascend toward the refuge, an experience that brings a true sense of adventure. Once there, you can enjoy a hot chocolate (not included) to warm up while taking in the panoramic view. After our activities in Cotopaxi National Park, our guide will recommend places where you can enjoy a delicious lunch, and then we will head to our hotel in the city of Baños.

Mirador Mira Mera
Following our departure from the hotel in Baños, we will make a strategic stop at the iconic Mira Mera Lookout. This spot offers one of the most impressive views of the Pastaza River Canyon, with spaces exclusively designed to capture memorable photographs; it is the perfect moment to feel the transition toward the Amazonian breeze.

We will visit the Ukuy Wasi Kichwa community, where you will enjoy a traditional dance performance, learn about the use of the blowgun, and participate in the face-painting ritual with natural jungle pigments. At lunchtime, you will be able to taste typical dishes from the region. A unique opportunity to connect with the living roots of the Amazon.

Cascada Hola Vida
We will enjoy a light hike along trails surrounded by vegetation, where the sounds of birds and the river will accompany us at every moment. Upon reaching the 20-meter waterfall, you will be able to cool off in its crystal-clear natural pool, enjoying a setting of absolute peace in the heart of the tropical forest.

Ruta de las cascadas
On the way back to Baños, we will travel the Waterfalls Route, visiting iconic falls such as Agoyán and Manto de la Novia. After passing through stone tunnels, we’ll reach the Pailón del Diablo to hike its trails and experience up close the power of this impressive waterfall, one of the most thunderous in the Andes.

Baños Adventure

La Casa del Arbol
We’ll visit Casa del Árbol, the best lookout point for views of the Tungurahua Volcano. You can also try the famous 'Swing at the End of the World,' where you’ll soar over the edge for a breathtaking view of Baños..

You will have the morning free to choose your ideal experience: deep relaxation at a spa or thermal springs, or pure adrenaline at San Martin or Rio Blanco adventure parks. Your guide will provide expert local recommendations and, after lunch, will escort you back to your hotel in Quito. (These activities are based on your preferences; the entrance fees to any of these places are not included in the tour.)
