You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning for a 2.5 hour drive to Lepakshi. Stop for breakfast at a local restaurant en route. On reaching Lepakshi head off to see the largest statue of the Nandi bull in India. The 15 feet high statue is carved out of a single rock of granite. Considered to be the vehicle of the Hindu God Shiva, the Nandi bull is often found at the entrance of temples dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Next take lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit the Veerabhadra Temple. This temple has some beautiful sculptures adorning its walls. One of the most famous sculptures is that of a snake entwined around the lingam. A rock chain and a hanging pillar are also to be seen here. The ceiling of the temple is covered with paintings. After the visit to the temple, spend some time walking around the nearby sites that house the Mukha Mandapa - a venue for dances and other social activities - and the Artha Mandapa - the place of royal worship. At the end of the tour, you will be driven back to Bangalore and dropped-off at your hotel.
