Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve is located in the South Indian state of Kerala. You will be picked up from your hotel in Cochin at 8:00 a.m. and driven to Periyar, which is 35 miles away. In Periyar, spend the day exploring the flora and fauna of the park. The flora in Periyar National Park primarily consists of Tropical Evergreen forests (30,500ha) and Semi-evergreen forests (27,500ha) around the tank. In the central part of the park, Moist-deciduous forests and Woody grasslands abound.
Visit a spice plantation and enjoy the lingering aroma of spices like cardamom, nutmeg, pepper and cinnamon.
Go for an early morning boat ride on Lake Periyar. Next enjoy a leisurely breakfast after which you will be driven back to Cochin and dropped-off at your hotel.
