Go kayaking on the backwaters of Goa and spend a few hours of sheer delight as you navigate your way past mangroves, lotus plants, shady trees and tall grasses. You will be able to sight over 40 species of birds as you silently glide on the waters. Nothing could be more agreeable than the sight of the red and white lotus flowers and an occasional bird perched on the round leaves.

You will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the edge of the backwaters where your instructor will meet you. At the start of the kayaking expedition, your instructor will brief you about the water and the flora and fauna around. Once you are in the kayak, you will have the thrill of passing through varied flora. At times you will be surrounded by bright red and white lotus flowers, at other times you will have to carefully navigate your way through tall grasses. Occasionally you will paddle past overhanging branches of a tree. Your journey on water will be rewarded by the sight of hundreds of birds at close quarters. More than 40 different species of birds can be spotted here, among them are Herons, Lapwings, Cormorants, Kingfishers, Ducks, Egrets, Black-Headed Ibis and Water Fowls. Relax under the shade of a tree and enjoy a drink (fruit juice) before you continue to glide through this rhapsody of water. At the end of the expedition, you will be dropped back at your hotel.
